Wichita, US: Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc company, said it rolled out the first production Citation XLS+ last week, Friday, at the company's primary design and manufacturing facilities in Wichita.
Priced at $11.595 million, the XLS+ is the latest version of the world's best-selling business jet model.
The first production unit will now head for paint and interior work, even as two flight test aircraft continue type certification flights.
Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration is expected by mid-year, with deliveries starting by the end of the year.
The XLS+ will feature the fully integrated Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite and electronically controlled (FADEC) engines from Pratt & Whitney, Canada.
