Aerospace, a diversified industry sector, comprises air and space travel, manufacturing and associated research. The industry serves a wide range of commercial, industrial and military applications.

An aircraft is a vehicle or craft capable of flight in the earth''s atmosphere. Aircraft may be lighter than air, or heavier than. In this section, although we may occasionally cover the lighter-than-air type of aircraft, we will focus on the heavier-than-air aircraft. These include: autogyros, helicopters and conventional fixed-wing aircraft (aeroplanes).
