Asian mobile ad network InMobi commences US services

Following its soft launch in January 2010, independent mobile ad network InMobi today said it had formally commenced services in the US market, extending the global network to US advertisers, publishers, and developers.

InMobi says it maintains 2 billion US ad impressions monthly ever since its soft launch. Today's announcement officially.
InMobi provides advertisers, developers, and publishers with a global mobile advertising solution that has enabled it to double its network size quarter-over-quarter.

Venture-backed with marquee investors including Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers and Sherpalo Ventures, InMobi has offices in London, San Francisco, Bangalore, Tokyo, Mumbai and Singapore.

"As Asia's largest mobile ad network, InMobi reaches out to more than 179 million consumers, serving over 16.7 billion impressions per month across Asia, Africa, North America and Europe, as the network more than doubled its monthly impressions (from 7.5 billion) in less than six months, it said in a statement.

According to Anne Frisbie, InMobi's vice president and managing director, North America, "After two years of rapid expansion around the world, InMobi is in an excellent position to help global brands capitalise on mobile advertising's reach, performance, and creative impact. With 3G and 4G smart phones expected to be in the hands of nearly 2.75 billion consumers globally by 2014, we are perfectly positioned to be a priority digital media buy for US global advertisers."
