Fujifilm India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujifilm Corporation, Japan, has come out with an 18x super zoom camera, Finepix S1800.
The S1800 comes with a mechanically stabilized CCD sensor and high ISO sensitivity for anti-blur protection and the scene recognition auto feature helps choose the scene type and the shooting conditions for optimised pictures.
Kenichi Tanaka, managing director, Fujifilm India, ''The feature rich S1800, which comes up with 18x optical zoom is a perfect camera for any shutterbug. S1800 offers full manual photographic control for the more experienced user and an automatic scene recognition mode for beginners.''
''S1800 is perfect for amateur photographers who want an affordable, step-up digital camera as well as for seasoned shooters who want SLR features,'' said A Rajkumar, country general manager (DSC), Fujifilm India.
Priced at Rs14, 999, S1800 offers features like instant zoom, zoom bracketing, tracking auto focus.
Zoom bracketing enables three shots to be taken at the single press of the button, at varying degrees of magnification (original, 1.4x and 2.0x). This enables instant editing on the camera to choose the ideal shot, rather than having to go back to a PC to facilitate a digital crop.
The tracking auto focus feature allows one to track moving subjects by half-pressing the shutter button while blink detection warns if any of your subjects have blinked.
Fujifilm has also added two fun and valuable features, smile and shoot mode to enhance the existing face detection system.
S1800 also features pre-programmed scene modes that offer a one-touch setting for almost any situation, including portrait, landscape, sport, night, fireworks, sunset, snow, beach, party, flower and text.
