AirTel plans to invest Rs 200 crore in Punjab, Haryana, HP

New Delhi: AirTel has announced that the company will invest Rs 200 crore over the next five months in the Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh circles.
With the fresh investments, AirTel will be able to provide mobile phone services in 90 more towns and 800 villages, taking the total coverage to 369 towns and 3,300 villages in the region.
An AirTel spokesperson says the company has over 750,000 customers in the region, of which over 6,00,000 are in Punjab alone, followed by nearly 100,000 customers in Haryana and over 50,000 in Himachal Pradesh.
