Arrow brings in pre-dawn shopping to India

Chennai: Arvind Brands apparel brand Arrow, part of the Lalbhai Group, has announced a sales promotion reminiscent of one-day sales during Thanksgiving in the US that sees shoppers queue up pre-dawn in front of stores to avail of astronomical 'deals' and discounts.
Arrow's one-day offer, branded as 'Race Against Time', will be open on 22 December. Arrow's exclusive stores would open for business on this one day from 7 a.m., and upto to 11 a.m. customers would get Arrow cash vouchers equal to their purchase value.
For purchases between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Arrow plans to hand out cash vouchers worth 75 per cent of the purchase value. Thereafter, till close of business, 50 per cent of the purchase value would be returned as cash vouchers.
The vouchers would be redeemable between 1 and 15 January 2008.
