Fabric brand Arvind has targeted a four-fold growth in both volume and turnover, raising the number of outlets from over a 100 at present to 400 and revenues from Rs500 crore at present to Rs2,000 crore, by 2017-18.

The company sees a quick roll-out of the 'Arvind Store' format over the next five years as the best growth strategy. Alongside, the company plans to espand in the premium fabric market with its new brand 'Tresca'.

Arvind introduced its top premium fabric offering, Tresca, recently, targeting the high-end shirting and suiting market. The company sees the premium fabric market as a high growth market in which Tresca will grow into a Rs250 crore brand over the next five years.

The target is to make 'The Arvind Store' a Rs600-crore franchise in five years, the company says.

The Arvind Store offers a range of products, including shirtings, suitings and denim fabrics, readymade apparel brands from the Arvind brands portfolio, custom tailoring and customised jeans.

Arvind's premium brand sales of both men's and women's fabrics clocked revenues of close to Rs500 crore in the 2012-13 fiscal, even as Arvind's overall brands and retail portfolio touched revenues of Rs1,900 crore during the financial year.

''Our aim is to make Arvind a Rs2,000 crore mega brand in the next five years. It will be made possible with the rapid roll-out of 'The Arvind Store' format, which will have over 400 stores and revenues of in excess of Rs600 crore by FY2017-18,'' Kulin Lalbhai, executive director of Arvind Limited, said

''Our new premium fabric brand 'Tresca' will target the fast growing premium shirting and suiting fabric market. The 'Brand Arvind' will play a critical role towards Arvind Ltd's vision of building a $1 billion brands and retail business. Our aim for the brand Arvind is to attain a leadership position in the fabric brands and retail market in India,'' he said.

''Tresca fabric is made primarily from 3 natural fibres – cotton, linen and wool. Quality is ensured by using the best raw materials and by using cutting edge technologies throughout the production phases from processing the fibre to finishing the fabrics. This fabric brand is designed for a discerning individual who wants to look young and trendy and one who wants to get rid of the boredom of a typical formalwear range,'' added Lalbhai.

Tresca will be made available at leading retail outlets across India and is directly serviced by the company. It will showcase 4 collections in a year with over 2,000 designs to choose from.
