06 Aug 2008
Percept group company Percept H has bagged the SBI Mutual Fund account ad account, estimated to be worth around Rs40 crore.
Percept H will help SBI Mutual Fund with the launch of new funds, re-launch and repositioning of existing funds, and aiding their corporate branding.
Scoring a home run with the win, Percept H successfully outpaced bigger rivals such as Rediffusion, O&M, JWT, Leo Burnett and Bates, who were also in the running. JWT was the incumbent agency.
Ajay Verma, senior vice president and Mumbai head for Percept H said that the SBI Mutual Fund win was ''very prestigious'', and was a tough fight given that top agencies were competing for the account. He attributed the win to Percept H's strategic understanding of the industry and ''sparkling creative work''.
At the end of July 2008, Percept-H had also bagged creative duties for premium personal care brands Yardley and Finesse from the Lornamead Group. Yardley's portfolio includes soaps, deodorants, talc and shower cream. Finesse, being a hair care brand, will have shampoo and conditioners in its portfolio.
SBI Mutual Fund counts amongst the largest mutual funds in India, with an investor base of over 5.4 million. It has more than 20 years of experience in fund management, and is a preferred asset management company across investor segments.
