11 Jan 2016
Wind turbine maker Suzlon Group today said it has signed a binding term sheet and received advance payment for execution of 197.40 MW with a leading renewable energy independent power producer.
Once the due diligence is completed and construction contracts are inked, Suzlon will supply, install and commission 47 of its S97-120 m hybrid tower wind turbines and 47 units of S111-90 m tubular tower wind turbine with rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.
The project will be located at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
Suzlon will offer operation and maintenance services for 12 years through an integrated service package, it said in a statement.
The project is scheduled to be commissioned by February 2017. Suzlon has recently commissioned its first wind power project in India of 50.40MW located in Tejuva, Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) for the same customer.
"The S97-120 m and S111-90 m turbines are the latest product variants introduced by Suzlon, and belong to the reliable and proven 2.1MW product platform," Suzlon said.
It said, the products are part of the next generation suite designed to unlock the potential of low wind sites.
''We are glad to receive the repeat order from one of the leading renewable energy IPPs and are encouraged by the trust and confidence demonstrated by the customer," said Ishwar Mangal, chief sales officer, Suzlon Energy.
