WPP's interactive Quasar Media eyes global business
10 Feb 2009
Interactive agency Quasar Media, partly owned by WPP group, has set up a team to create a delivery hub to execute the production of global digital advertising campaigns.
The agency plans to tap the outsourcing business of digital advertising production.
The agency has already won an account to handle the digital campaign production work of a global advertiser in the Asia Pacific region. The agency will work on customised banners, websites, mobile applications, games and contests for about 20 markets, including China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
While the agency will pitch for production work, it will also leverage its WPP affiliation to earn business. WPP usually shortlists a mix of creative, media and interactive agencies, which will combine to pitch for global advertisers. We will be one of the digital agencies, which will be pitching for global advertisers.
The agency is not planning to set up any more offices in other parts of the world.
