Lavazza-owned Barista Coffee Company has appointed Sanjay Coutinho as chief operating officer.

Prior to joining Barista, Coutinho was with Gravis Foods a former Baskin Robbins franchise.

Coutinho replaces CEO Partha Dutta Gupta, who quit the company few months back.

Coutinho's has experience with Pantaloons Retail, Domino's Pizza and Jet Airways. Barista operates through 200 espresso bars and crèmes outlets across 29 locations.
