Mumbai:
BenQ India (www.BenQ.co.in)
will offer its innovative Merge Magic software with its
range of scanners. With Merge Magic Wizard, one can scan
pictures or text which is larger than A4 size without
having to go through the hassle of reducing the picture
through a copier first.
For
the end user, the way that Merge Magic would work is that
on starting the Merge Magic Wizard, one just folds the
documents into two halves and scan them separately. On
finishing, just press the Merge key and the Merge is completed.
BenQ
also plans to launch an USB 2.0 scanner shortly. The company
already offers a complete range of scanners comprising
640P (Parallel Port), 4300U (600x1200 dpi USB), 5300U,
5000E, 5000U (1200x2400 dpi USB) and 640BT (600 dpi x
1200 dpi transparency scanners).
The
product will be available through BenQs regional
distributors, Roop for west India and Andhra Pradesh,
IT Eastern for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, Micromax for
north India, and Byte Peripherals for Madhya Pradesh.
BenQ
has an effective presence in display (LCD and CRT monitors);
digital display (plasma screen and projectors); storage
(CD-ROM, CD-RWs and DVD-RWs); Media (CD-media); imaging
(scanners and digital cameras) and input devices (keyboards
and mice).
In
a step towards refining its current distribution strategy,
BenQ has adopted a regional model of distribution and
is also in the process of identifying key distributors
who could specialise in distributing individual product
lines. The company is targeting its products like projectors
with digital light processing (DLP) technology, the worlds
slimmest LCD monitors with smart panel for the Indian
market, and plasma screens.
