Sybase, CMC team up for enterprise infrastructure solutions

Mumbai: Sybase (www.sybase.com), the enterprise infrastructure company, has announced a partnership with CMC, India’s premier information technology company, for extending Sybase technology, enterprise products and services to corporate customers in India and within the Asia Pacific region.

The partnership will enable CMC to build IT solutions around the proven enterprise software, technology and business infrastructure capabilities from Sybase. The partnership agreement was signed by CMC deputy managing director and COO R Ramanan and Sybase senior vice-president and general manager (Asia Pacific region) Mark Wang.

Sybase achieved significant growth in 2001 with a rate of 26 per cent in India, 37 per cent in China, 14 per cent in Japan, 41 per cent in Korea, 38 per cent in the Philippines, 24 per cent in Thailand and a positive increase in Hong Kong. Sybase products and solutions offer significant value to customers, and the company’s services are highly regarded by the industry across India and the Asia Pacific region.

The company has been delivering IT solutions to enterprises in India since 1989, and presently serves over 2,000 customers in the country. Major customers in India include the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Raymond group, Development Credit Bank, HDFC Bank and IOB.
