Mumbai:
Dalmia Consumer Care (DCC), has appointed Tata Consultancy
Services (TCS) to implement a world class Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) solution for itself. This move is expected
to drive the company''s business growth by making optimum
utilisation of IT advancements. DCC has already invested
in connecting its operating locations across the country
on a wide area network and other necessary IT infrastructure.
Dalmia
Consumer Care has one national office, four regional offices,
27 area offices, 26 depot points and four manufacturing
locations at present which will all use the selected ERP
solution DCC will implement it for sales & marketing,
supply chain / distribution, manufacturing, finance, human
resources, business intelligence and balance scorecard.
TCS''s
six-week engagement with DCC will be to understand the
requirements and prioritise and develop a reliable, scientific
for DCC.
DCC
is the only FMCG company in India to have established
a distribution network that spans nearly 600 cities and
over 2,50,000 outlets in a short span of six month.
According
to Mudit Agarwal, IT head, Dalmia Consumer Care, "We
