Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated
Ericsson''s new Software Design Centre at Hyderabad. This centre will focus on designing
and developing software for Ericsson''s Internet and datacom networking products worldwide.
This is Ericsson''s second centre in India after the one at Bangalore, which focusses on
software design and development for its global telecom products.

Communication Limited, said, "The new software design centre will provide a major
thrust in our efforts to develop cutting edge products in the area of Internet and datacom
networking for the global market. This centre is another sign of our commitment to widen
our presence in India and to make Hyderabad and India an integral hub for Ericsson''s
R&D efforts worldwide."
The centre will
be involved in software development for products such
as network management and core product development for
state-of-the-art products like routers, remote access
servers (RAS), frame relays, ATM switches, cable modems,
ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) and voice over
internet protocol.
