Delhi: Idea Cellular Ltd, Indias premier cellular
services provider, today announced the addition of 50
cell sites to its 300-strong cell site network in its
flagship Delhi circle.
With
this, the total number of Idea Cellular cell sites in
Delhi and NCR has gone to 350. The addition in the cell
sites forms part of Idea Cellulars ambitious network
expansion plan and is a result of the companys commitment
to provide enhanced coverage experience to its customers.
Says
Idea Cellular chief executive officer Vikram Mehmi: Idea
is committed to continuously enhancing the consumer experience
by giving them improved coverage.
Idea
is Delhis only congestion-free network
and this has been made possible by scientific network
planning as opposed to the usual practice of scaling the
network in patches.
In
the next phase of network expansion, Idea Cellular will
add another 50 cell sites in high-growth residential
clusters of Delhi and NCR to be able to offer customers
an even better coverage experience.
