Take under-water photos with Kodak’s new PlaySport video camera

Digital photography and printing major, Kodak, today unveiled its new waterproof PlaySport video camera at Photo Today 2010.

Priced at Rs7, 999, the 5 mega-pixel camera is resistant to water up to 10 feet, and includes features like electronic image stabilisation and Kodak imaging science for sharper videos with vibrant colors and less blur.

Saraswatula Srinivasu, vice president, sales and channel management and SPG head, digital camera, device and film capture, Kodak India, said "Kodak PlaySport is specifically designed for consumers with active lifestyles, allowing them to capture full 1080p HD video, even underwater simply with the touch of a button."

Kodak PlaySport comes with an expandable SD / SDHC card slot upto 32GB that can record up to 10 hours of HD video, in-box HDMI cable for easy viewing on HD screens and a built-in software that enables users to edit and easily share videos.

Kodak also displayed a range of digital cameras, which allow instant uploads on social networking sites Facebook, Orkut, Flickr, YouTube and other email websites through a one-touch share button. 

Users need to press the share button, choose the photo-sharing website and connect the camera to a PC and broadband connection to upload the photos instantly.

Besides cameras, Kodak India also launched the latest version of its popular Kodak Digi Album Pro software pre-loaded with ready to use design templates for occasions like weddings, birthdays and holidays at the exhibition.

Kodak Onsite electro-photographic printer, APEX Dry Mini lab and other applications were also launched at the Photo today 2010.
