Kale makes major inroads into Malaysia; adds two new clients

Mumbai: Kale Consultants, the airline and banking solutions provider, has been expanding its Malaysian business through its Malaysian joint venture, Antah Kale Sdn Bhd. It has, now, added new customers to its credit — a large South Asian carrier for providing sales audit services and KL Airport Services (KLAS) for implementing MercuryT.

The sales audit service to the South Asian carrier is being provided on an outsourced basis. Kale's value proposition enables airlines to recover revenue losses without any capital expenditure, thus, adding directly to their bottomline. Using its state-of-the-art audit tool, Faregaint, Kale is providing the airlines with the all the service relating to sales audit — from detecting fare violation to generating debit notes on the agents.

KLAS selected MercuryT (Kale's cargo ground handling solution) in order to provide improved service levels to the customers. With a past track record of success at eight airports, MercuryT was the obvious choice for KLAS.

Says KLAS head (cargo operations) Mohd Haji Zin Bin Yahia: "After a careful and detailed evaluation, we identified MercuryT to be the best fit for our needs, as the system is designed specially for an independent ground handler like us. It is able to address various requirements by our customers, besides improving the average handling time, increase staff productivity and space utilisation and most importantly, providing up-to-date service status. These are expected to attract additional business for KLAS, from airlines operating flights to KL airport."

Says Antah Kale chairman Y A M Tunku Dato'seri Nadzaruddin Ibni Tuanku Ja'afar: "Antah Kale is tuned to meet the specific IT needs of the customers in this region. Our relationship with Kale has been growing steadily over the last few months and the successes with KLAS and the South Asian Airlines is a sign of maturing of the relationship. The services being offered by Antah Kale are very unique and we are able to effectively leverage the expertise offered by Kale in the airlines domain and provide a very strong value proposition to our customers."

"We are extremely happy with the progress of our Malaysian operations and look forward to consolidating our presence further in this region," says Kale Consultants managing director Vipul Jain. "Looking at the benefits derived by our customers from sales audit services, we are introducing interline audit services in our processing centre. It would definitely benefit the airlines, especially in these trying times."
