Molex launches Real Time Patchingnews
Mumbai:
21 February 2004
The US-based Molex Premise Networks, leaders in the manufacture of structured cabling systems, has announced the launch of the Molex Real Time Patching System. The system comprises intelligent patch panels, patch cords, cable and physical layer management hardware and software that provides IT managers the ability to manage and monitor the physical network layer and associated IT hardware.

A key feature of this system is that it can be retrofitted to legacy cabling systems in addition to new installations, thus giving companies the ability to migrate to intelligent connectivity management throughout their organisation, regardless of the age of their existing infrastructure.

Speaking on the occasion, Lloyd Mariner, chief operating officer, Molex Premise Networks stated that as the complexity of cabling infrastructure increased in organisations, intelligent connectivity management systems offered IT managers significant savings through reduced downtime, foolproof maintenance and eliminated manual documentation which is both time consuming and prone to human error.

"The Molex Real Time System will be an important offering to the market being addressed by Avaya''s iPatch and RIT''S Patch View System," he added.

Molex Premise Networks, is a 62-year old US-based company with operations in 19 countries. It specialises in products specific to the transmission of voice, data and, video imaging signals including UTP, STP, FTP and fiber optics.
