New Delhi: Newgen Software Technologies has become the first Indian company to develop a unicode Chinese version of a software product. Unicode is a Microsoft-supported standard for multilingual support in software. Newgen''s document management and workflow are now available with support for simplified Chinese, enabling the company to make inroads into the Chinese market.

OmniDocs is a scalable, secure, multi-user document management system which allows users to manage images as well as electronic documents in a single central repository that can be accessed and shared between multiple users, across departments, multiple locations and an entire enterprise. OmniFlow is an enterprise class business process management product that allows automation of end-to-end business processes. Newgen already has over 200 implementations of its products across sectors such as telecom, government, BPO, insurance and banking.

Diwakar Nigam, managing director, Newgen, said,"By developing unicode Chinese version of OmniDocs and OmniFlow, Newgen has shown its commitment to the China market. Even other language versions of the products can now be released rapidly." Newgen''s Unicode Chinese version of OmniDocs and OmniFlow are among the few localised enterprise class products for business process management and document management available in China.
