BestPrax Club and APQC announce new partnership

BestPrax Club, established by the quality pioneers Qimpro, aims to become a distinguished Benchmarking Clearinghouse in Asia.

As a first step, on 1 April 2008 it entered into an associate partnership with APQC, USA, a recognised leader in benchmarking, knowledge management, measurement and quality programmes.

The two organisations will work together to standardise and distribute advanced principles of excellence in the Asia-Pacific region.

''The synergy between APQC and BestPrax Club make this partnership a natural fit,'' says Troy Shuttleworth, director of business development at APQC. ''This partnership helps APQC fulfill our mission to uncover and understand effective methods of improvement and share our findings with an international community of business professionals.''

''The economic center of gravity is shifting to the Asia-Pacific region.  Organizations in this region no longer think local. They have a global mindset.  They aim to be the benchmark in managerial practices'' says Suresh Lulla, director, BestPrax Club.  ''APQC offers the largest global knowledge base of best practices.  BestPrax Club will work with APQC to facilitate innovation of managerial practices, as well as excellence in organizational performance''

BestPrax Club was established by Qimpro in 2005 to provide a networking and learning forum for member organisations to share and grow their generic business practices.  Central to the BestPrax Club offerings are 135 managerial practices that are culled from the Baldrige criteria.
