Rolta acquires Chicago based WhittmanHart Consulting

Provider of geospatial information and engineering design services, Rolta, today said it is acquiring management consuting services provider WhittmanHart Consulting, a division of the two-decade old Chicago-based WhittmanHart, for an undiclosed sum.

WhittmanHart Consulting (WHC) is a management and technology consulting services provider that delivers solutions of industry relevance, business process innovation and technology expertise. It is recognised as an industry leading provider of consulting services in business intelligence (BI), particularly focused on the Hyperion software technology acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2007.

"This acquisition is in keeping with our declared strategy of acquiring technologies and skills that help our clients get greater returns from their investments in enterprise solutions and services from Rolta," said K K Singh, chairman and CEO. "The move to add business intelligence solutions to our porifolio is further validation of our commitment to growth through the delivery of higher value to our clients."

The assets and business of the consulting firm will be integrated into the operations of Rolta.

WhittmanHart, Inc. will retain and continue to operate WhittmanHart Interactive, its interactive agency, in a standalone capacity.

Rolta said WHC has served several hundred clients, including Fortune 500 companies across many industries  and possesses expertise in diverse platforms including Oracle Financial Applications, SAP EPM, SAP Business Objects, Cognos and especially Oracle's Hyperion Suite.
