Sierra Atlantic buys US-based Sceptre

Hyderabad: Sierra Atlantic, an offshoring enterprise applications firm, has acquired Sceptre Database Consultants Inc., a provider of enterprise application outsourcing and consulting services company, in a cash-cum-stock deal. According to a company press release, Sierra Atlantic and Sceptre have over two decades of experience in outsourced enterprise application implementation, upgrades, development, and maintenance and support.

Sarath Sura, managing director of Sierra Atlantic,said, "Apart from acquiring Sceptre's clients we are expanding the technology offerings covering manufacturing and financial services, where Sceptre is stronger." He said the new development centre has the facility to host about 800 people and plans for both organic and inorganic expansion are under way.
