Tata Teleservices (TTL) today announced that it has crossed the 75 million subscriber mark.

The addition of 2.32 million new users in last month helped it cross the mark within a span of five and a half years since its launch.

The growth rate for TTL along with Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd has been more than 100 per cent, considering the subscriber base has grown to 76,058,908 (wireless and wireline) as on July 31, 2010 up from 38 million subscribers in July 2009.

Tata Teleservices operates under five different brands, Tata Indicom, Tata Docomo, Tata Walky, Tata Photon and T24.

TTL had unveiled GSM operations under the brand name T24, a strategic venture with retail giant Future Group, in Andhra Pradesh in February.

Tata Docomo is a joint venture with NTT DOCOMO of Japan entered in November 2008.
