Windals Infotech, Intiqua in tie-up for EMS news
22 August 2002

Pune: In its endeavour to offer enterprise-wide resource planning (ERP) software to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME), Windals Infotech Pvt Ltd has brought to the market Enterprise Management Solution (EMS), which will efficiently deal with the entire resource management needs of these businesses.

EMS is a product that seamlessly integrates business functions, including purchase, inventory, excise, sales and marketing, accounts, taxation and management of information systems.

In today’s competitive age, availability of right information at the right time is critical. Though there are software solutions available for large-scale industries, effective solution for SMEs is difficult to come by. EMS combines the capabilities of the products available for large businesses with the single most important factor for small ones: affordability.

Additionally, the solution claims a stronger credibility as it has been developed in-house, based on the strength of a cross-domain expertise of Windals Auto Pvt Ltd, the parent company of Windals Infotech. Windals Auto is a leading manufacturer and supplier of automobile parts to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like Telco, Mahindra and Mahindra, and Eicher Tractors.

Windals Infotech director Vaibhav Vinzanekar says: “There has always been a need in the market for a product to address the needs as well as to have a short implementation time. With EMS, we are trying to provide SMEs with the infrastructure to aid critical decision-making processes. We come with over 25 years’ of experience in dealing with OEMs and have taken utmost care to incorporate guidelines which OEMs follow in terms of business practices.”

Windals Infotech has entered into an alliance with Intiqua International India Ltd, a global broad-based services integrator, to offer enterprise management and supply chain solutions to SMEs, with a primary focus on the discrete manufacturing and automotive industries.

“We believe that the synergy between Intiqua and Windals will help customers achieve significant returns on investment through streamlining business processes and increasing operational efficiency. This relationship brings together Intiqua’s longstanding expertise in solution delivery and Windals’ robust suite of solutions to deliver cost-effective solutions to companies in the mid-market,” says Intiqua India managing director Sanjay Jain.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has agreed to extend financial assistance to the units that intend to install and implement the solution. Thus, the management of a small business doesn’t have to worry about the finance required to buy EMS. SIDBI finance will be extended to units through its Direct Discounting Scheme, with a repayment period of three to five years, as desired by the customer.

SIBDI general manager A K Kapoor says: “The assistance under the scheme is provided under a fast-track method wherein no detailed appraisal is required by SIDBI.”
