Delivery of content over wireless devices using the Internet model is the trend for portals, wireless operators, and Internet service providers. The decreasing or stagnant revenue per user on voice traffic and access charges have necessitated operators to consider the emerging area of wireless data applications.
Wipro's Unified Application Development Framework, Wipro WAP Smart, is a platform that integrates mobile Internet telephony and enterprise networks with the back-end infrastructure so as to provide mobile email and unified mobile access for applications and information services.
This Framework delivers mobile content independent of access devices such as mobile phones and PDAs, and is independent of the bearer network such as SMS, HSCSD, GPRS.
