Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a massive employment scheme to create a million jobs in the various departments and ministries. The prime minister has reviewed the status of human resources in all departments and ministries and also instructed that the recruitment be done in mission mode in the next one and a half years years.
"Reviewed the status of human resources in all departments and ministries and instructed that recruitment of 10 lakh people be done by the government in mission mode in next 1-1/2 years," tweeted.
While the Railways and other government departments will provide most of the jobs, it is expected that in all the leading government departments including ministries will form part of the new jobs scheme. Apart from Railways, Department of Post, PSU and various ministries will also provide jobs as per expectation.

Besides the plans to provide government jobs, the private sector is expected to create 6 million jobs in the next five years under the Productivity Linked Incentive in 14 sectors, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman had stated whil presenting Budget 2022-23.
"The Productivity Linked Incentive in 14 sectors for achieving the vision of AtmaNirbhar Bharat has received excellent response, with potential to create 60 lakh new jobs, and an additional production of Rs30 lakh crore during the next 5 years," Sitharaman said wile presenting her fourth budget on 1 February 2022.
Government is optimistic that the PLI scheme for various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, large-scale electronics manufacturing, food products, solar EV modules, automobiles/auto components, textile products etc will create new jobs in these sectors in the next 5 years.
Railways will be introducing new products and efficient logistics services for small farmers and small and medium enterprises, besides taking the lead in integration of postal and railway networks to provide seamless solutions for movement of parcels.
