Malaysia, six firms show interest in Express Highway project

Kochi: The Malaysian government and six companies have shown interest in the proposed Express Highway project that will be helpful for the overall development of the state, says Kerala State Industries Development Corporation managing director Jiji Thomson.

Though the central government’s approval is required for foreign capital investment, usually there is no objection, he adds. “Kerala Growth Ventures, a project declared by NeST group chairman Javed Hassan, will start working from Mauritius.”

Thomson also says very soon an agreement will be signed with Coca Cola for marketing bottled coconut water. “The estimated cost for this project will be Rs 60 crore.”
