& Kashmir Bank has been selected by the Council for
Fair Business Practices (CFBP) for Jamnalal Uchit Vyavahar
Puraskar 2002 in the category of Trade / Service-Large
Organisation for following fair business practices and
in recognition of the banks commitment to social
obligations.
CFBP
was established in 1996 by late J R D Tata, late Ramakrishna
Bajaj and others like Arvind Mafatlal and F T Khorakiwala
for formulating a code of conduct for businessmen.
To
promote fair business practices and recognise commitment
of organisations to their social obligations, CFBP every
year selects organisations for Jamnalal Bajaj Uchit Vyavahar
Puraskar from manufacturers, traders and trade associations
for following fair trade practices.

Bank was incorporated in 1938 by the then government as
its promoter, to bolster the economy of the state. Today
the bank has emerged as one of the leading commercial
banks of India, with its branch network spread across
the length and breadth of the country.
