Mavoor co-op bank bestowed NCDC award

Thiruvananthapuram: Mavoor Service Cooperative Bank Ltd in Kozhikode district of Kerala has bagged the award of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) for the best primary cooperative in Kerala.

The bank is among 26 primary-level cooperatives from various states in India that have been selected for the NCDC award.

The bank has a total of 7,679 members who have contributed 87 per cent of the banks equity. The main activities of the bank include disbursement of agricultural credit, distribution of inputs such as fertilisers and procurement and marketing of coconut, copra, consumer articles and LPG.
