ECGC obtains IS/ISO 9001 : 2000 certification for branches

During 2004-05 ECGC obtained IS/ISO 9001 : 2000 quality management certification (QMS) from Bureau of Indian Standards for 12 branches. These include three branches each in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, two in New Delhi and one each in Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

In a press release ECGC says that it is the first insurance company to obtain this license from BIS. ECGC proposes to bring all their branches under the IS/ISO Certification so that the operations of all ECGC offices are IS/ISO: 9001:2000 certified.

In the previous year it secured the certification for its head office and 'large exporters' branch in Mumbai.
