New Delhi: Unistal Systems has introduced Crash Proof data loss prevention software along with global anti-virus major, Kaspersky Labs' anti virus software bundled free, branded Unistal-Kapersky anti-virus software. Unistal Systems is a technologically advanced provider of data recovery products and services.

Besides bundling it free with Crash Proof, Unistal is also distributing the anti-virus solution from Kaspersky Labs under the OEM model to major PC manufacturers in the country.

Founded in 1997, the headquartered in Moscow, Kaspersky Labs develops, products that protect information from viruses, hackers and spam for home users and enterprises and offer consulting services and technical support. Its products are certified by West Coast Labs.

According to Alok Gupta, director, marketing of Unistal Systems Pvt.Ltd., "This alliance is strategic because it combines the well known strengths of Crash Proof for data loss prevention with that of Kaspersky Labs, who have the world's best scan engine. With this bundle offering we hope to switch the anti-virus market to that for data loss prevention without any additional cost."

Gupta added that in the recent past the dependency on computers and therefore the volume of information stored had increased exponentially, while buying solutions for protecting such information against loss or virus attack had not increased correspondingly. "Users need to have effective protection against not just viruses but also situations like system crash, accidental file deletion, missing drives / folders, partition corruptions or for that matter accidental formatting of drives.

Virus Lab analysts, headed by Eugene Kaspersky, Costin Raiu and Marc Blanchard, have over a decade of experience in the anti-virus field, allowing them to predict data security trends. It was the first to develop and implement innovations such as heuristic virus analysis and linguistic text analysis.

Unistal's data loss prevention utility, based on the new heuristic technology, saves the critical images of the disk while installing and updating them at regular intervals. When data loss occurs the software calculates the system parameters and automatically revives the data , reducing system downtime.
