Mumbai: Dax Networks, one of India's top three networking
companies, in collaboration with the US-based Telco Systems, has launched T6 Pro Classic routing switch DX BTI-0630, a high-end 'carrier-class' metro routing switch.

Dax will address the large networking projects across telcos, large enterprises, defence and research institutions, banking, financial services and insurance, and the e-governance sector. The company will work closely with national system integrators to address these industries.

Announcing the new product, Sujit Singh, country manager, Dax Networks, said, "We are expanding our switch and router portfolio for the core to address the needs of most mission critical customers. With the T6 Pro we are now able to offer high-end and complex solutions at the core of any enterprise network. The switch offers flexibility, security, interoperability and reliability catering to the demanding business needs of today."

The T6 Pro offers multi-layering, multi-service facilities, aned caters to the requirements of large enterprises where high port density is crucial. The T6 Pro also comes with a programmable powerful network processor with maximum flexibility to suit the customer needs.

The redundant CPU and the matrix cards in this routing switch come with unique hot-swap support, hot-swappable fan drawers, and an advanced dual power supply to each slot, thus enabling continuous operations and a guaranteed uptime of 99.999 per cent.

This routing switch offers unique convergence of any-protocol on any-card in any-slot of any-Advanced TCA (telecom computing architecture) platform. This will enable converging IP with various other technologies such as wireless, storage, server blades, gateways and other service types within a single platform.

The Rs62-crore Dax Networks, part of the Apcom group, has tied up with Maipu Communications, China and Telco Systems. The company, which currently holds 4 per cent of the router market within 12 months of launch, projects a market share of 10 per cent over the next two years.
