Mumbai:
Ventura (India) Private Ltd, a part of Ventura UK (a wholly
owned subsidiary of Next Plc, a FTSE-100 company) and
a provider of customer management outsourcing services,
has launched its India operations.
The
operations, the company's first offshore centre outside
the UK, has been loacted in Pune's Kalyani Nagar. The
I,30,000sq ft area with a capacity of 2,000 seats, has
been set up at a cost of £10 million. Ventura anticipates
significant growth potential in the offshore market in
India and is looking at catering to 20 per cent of its
total business from here.
The
company plans to offshore business in the travel and leisure
sectors to the Pune sector to start with. The customer
services processes undertaken would include application
processing, payment processing, back office collections
and data management.
Speaking
on the occasion Anupam Arun, Ventura's country head, said,
"This entire project has been in the making since
2004 and we now
have more than 300 employees in India servicing two clients.
Pune has an excellent infrastructure available which is
essential for the contact centre industry."
The
company's UK sites are located in Leeds, Cardiff and the
Dearne Valley, Rotherham.
