Frost & Sullivan selects WebEx for market leadership awards news

Mumbai: Global growth consulting firm, Frost & Sullivan has selected WebEx Communications for the 2005 market leadership award, for its leqadership in the Indian audio and web conferencing industry.

The Frost & Sullivan award recognises WebEx as the leader on two accounts – in the Indian audio conferencing services and the web conferencing services markets. For the award, Frost & Sullivan took into account WebEx's revenue growth, market share and growth in market share, leadership in product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer acquisitions, and business and market strategy.

The awards seek to recognise and honour outstanding performance by companies and individuals in the information - communications - technology (ICT) industry across the country for base year 2004.

According to Alok Shende, director of ICT practice, Frost & Sullivan, "Each of these outstanding recipients has demonstrated significant growth and leadership in their respective market segments. A common factor across all the award recipients is that they have significantly contributed to growing the industry either by bringing in strong new value propositions to the market or by developing new market segments."
