New Delhi: In a bid to expand operations, software retailer to the hospitality and retail industry Dynamic Vertical Solutions (DVS) today announced its entry in dubai in the Gulf region.

It said it would invest over $2 million in the first year and will ramp up operations in due course in partnership with Microsoft Dynamics.

According to the Global Emerging Markets Survey of 300 retailers worldwide, the UAE ranks eight among the Top 15 most international retail markets. With the influx of tourists throughout the year, Dubai, is a lucrative market for the hospitality industry and DVS saw this opportunity as a stepping stone for venturing into international markets.

DVS says it plans to cater to both the retail and hospitality sectors.

''The retail and hospitality industries in the Middle East region are poised for rapid growth and naturally possess huge potential for adoption of new technologies and solution," said Rakhee Nagpal, managing director and founder, DVS. "This has translated into a demand for international strengths of technology and experience, which DVS brings to the table. For DVS, the areas of investment in Dubai fall under, acquiring product knowledge, understanding the requirements of Dubai's retail and hospitality industry, recruitment of partners and education to the vast market.''

On Microsoft's assocaition with DVS in its international venture, Tamer Elhamy, business solutions manager, Microsoft Gulf, said the addition of DVS to Microsoft's Gulf channel would help it offer better solutions and services to the software giant's partners and customers in the region.

I believe in the GCC market, DVS will also achieve a high growth due to their industry knowledge and certified add-on solutions. Rakhee also said that DVS also aims to enhance the partner and re-seller network across the country for enhanced market presence and customer outreach.
