BSE to include Tata Power, Sterlite in revised Sensex

Mumbai: Tata Power and Sterlite Industries will be included in the benchmark Sensex index effective 28 July, the Bombay Stock Exchange said.
Tata Power would replace Cipla while Sterlite Industries will replace Ambuja Cements in the Sensex, BSE said in a website notice.
The BSE also plans to revise the BSE 100, 200 and 500 indices, effective June 23.
The decision to revise the composition of the indices was taken at a meeting of the exchange's Index Committee on Friday, the release said.
The BSE 100 index would now include scrips of Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, Educomp, Housing Dev & Infrastructure, MMTC, Mundra Port, National Aluminium, NMDC, Reliance Power and Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren.
Leading scrips like Bharat Electronics, Glaxosmithkline, i-flex Solutions, Patni Computers, Titan Industries and Ultratech Cement will be excluded from the BSE 100 list.
The BSE 200 will have Adlabs Films, Bajaj Holdings, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, Chambal Fertilisers, Edelweiss Capital, Essar Shipping, Godrej Industries, Gujarat Mineral, Gujarat NRE Coke, Indiabulls Securities, IRB Infrastructure, Jai Corp, Jubilant Organosys, LIC Housing Finance, MMTC, Mundra Port, NMDC, Rural Electrification Corp, REI Agro, Shree Renuka Sugars and Shriram Transport Finance.
