Airtel’s Sunil Bharti Mittal bags Harvard award

Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has received the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award, the company said in a statement Friday.
"Harvard Business School's management program helped me validate and sharpen my work towards putting together the building blocks to create one of the leading global telecom companies - Bharti Airtel," Mittal said in a statement.
Mittal, who drives India's largest telco Bharti Airtel, is a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, one of India's highest civilian awards.
He is also a member of several international bodies such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Mittal also serves on the Prime Minister of India's Council on Trade & Industry, and chairman of the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Telecom Steering Committee.
