R K Goel, director (finance) GAIL will be the new chairman of Ratnagiri Gas & Power Pvt Ltd (RGPPL).

Goel will hold additional charge as chairman of RGPPL, which has been promoted by GAIL and NTPC for reviving and operating power plant and LNG terminal at Dabhol, earlier owned by erstwhile Dabhol Power Company.

The appointment was ratified at the 33rd meeting of the board of RGPPL held on 21September 2007.
