Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance companies
have announced top-level changes effective from 1 Occtober 2007, while maintaining
leadership continuity in both the companies. The changes are: - Kamesh
Goyal, CEO, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, is being elevated to country manager
of Allianz companies in India and is also the new CEO of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance
- Swaraj Krishnan
who was general manager will be the new CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance
- Sam Ghosh,
who was country manager and CEO of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, will be the regional
CEO of Allianz Middle East, a new region being created by Allianz

are happy that Allianz is picking up Indian talent for their global operations,"
said Rahul Bajaj, chairman of both the companies. "Sam and Kamesh were instrumental
in steering the respective companies to the leadership position in India. I am
sure that Sam''s successful stint in India will keep him in good stead in handling
his new role. Since both the new CEOs have been with us since inception, I am
confident that they would achieve the growth targets and sustain the leadership

has established Middle East as its third major growth region, besides Asia Pacific
and New Europe. The regional unit will assemble Allianz'' entities in Bahrain,

Goyal, who was COO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance took over the mantle of
CEO in 2004 and emerged as the youngest CEO in the financial services sector.
During his stint, the company emerged as the most profitable private sector insurer
and also led the company in the important and crucial transition phase to the

Krishnan as general manager had been overseeing reinsurance and claims at Bajaj
Allianz General Insurance. He has nearly two decades of experience in the general
insurance sector and has taken part in several leadership programmes at Allianz.
