Maunu von Lueders appointed as new CEO of JetLite

Maunu von Lueders, Finnish national, CEOMumbai: Jet Airways India Ltd has appointed Maunu von Lueders, a Finnish national, as CEO of its low-cost carrier JetLite (India) Ltd.

In a statement the company said CEO Garry Kingshott would be leaving Jet Airways at the end of his three-year contract. Kingshott will relocate to the Philippines on an assignment with Cebu Air, a low-cost airline.

Lueders has a rich experience of over 40 years in the aviation business. He has worked with several airlines in Europe and North America in the sales, marketing and general management sectors.

After spending nearly 35 years abroad, he returned to Finland as vice-president of Alliances and International Relations with the country's carrier, Finnair.

In 2001, Lueders accepted a challenge to head the Global Alliance Sales Initiative for Oneworld as vice-president for sales.

Since December 2003, Lueders has been the president of FlyNordic, a new low-cost challenger in the Scandinavian markets.
