New Delhi: An eye-catching combination of retro styling and futuristic panache – that ideally describes the new offering from the Dilip Chhabria stable – the Ambierod.
Whoever thought that the humble Ambassador could look so good?! Built on the old warhorse, the Ambierod is sure to stir things up in the auto world. Action star Sanjay Dutt unveiled this creation at the Auto Expo at New Delhi today.

A total of 50,000 man-hours went into its making, and involved the use of latest technologies like advanced digital mapping. While maintaining the distinct Indianness of the Ambassador, the Ambierod also incorporates the muscular philosophy of American hotrods in its exteriors. Inside, it is luxury personified.
With 3 LCD TV screens, videoconferencing facilities and movies on demand, the discerning customer can choose to work or play as he pleases. The king-sized interiors, convertible to a full-sized bed, reinforce this impression of unparalleled luxury.
As far as performance is concerned, the V-12 engine leaves no room for lethargy. Coupled with an instrument panel featuring an advanced on-board 'carputer' automating driving functions using GPS, the Ambierod is as much a driver's vehicle as one for the chauffeur-driven.
