New Delhi: LeasePlan Fleet Management and Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company have jointly launched a new value-added service branded 'safe driving plan' targeted at corporate clients.
Royal Sundaram is one of LeasePlan's insurance service providers. These post-license safe driving programmes will be conducted by Hubert Ebner (India), an Indo-Austrian joint venture that specialises in interactive learning systems.
The unique feature of this joint programme is that for the first time ever in the Indian motor business an insurance company will be sponsoring safe driving classes for corporate users with a view to reduce accidents. This tie-up is exclusive for LeasePlan fleet management customers.
LeasePlan is a wholly owned subsidiary of LeasePlan Corporation NV, the world's No 1 vehicle leasing and fleet management company. The group manages 1.3 million vehicles spread over 26 countries.
LeasePlan India has its corporate office in Gurgaon, and branches in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata. It currently manages over 3,500 vehicles and has a clientele of over 200 Indian and multinational corporates.
Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance, a joint venture between Sundaram Finance and Royal and Sun Alliance, was among the first to be awarded a license by the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority under the liberalised regime to set up a general insurance joint venture. The company is headquartered in Chennai with 17 branch and representative offices spread across India.
