Mumbai: LeasePlan India (headquartered in Gurgaon, with branches at Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata) has launched India's first ever 'corporate fuel management programme' as a part of its service offering to corporates. An integral part of the fleet management business world over, corporate fuel management facilitates corporates to streamline and monitor their fuel expenses with ease.
Corporates entering the fuel management agreement with LeasePlan will be issued with Bharat Petroleum's 'smartfleet corporate fuel card' which can be used for cashless transactions at 1,800 Bharat Petroleum 'pure for sure' retail outlets in 53 cities around the country. With its experience of managing over 6,600 vehicles, LeasePlan will extend its global expertise to corporates in customising fuel budgets based on model, expected fuel consumption and expected mileage.
Corresponding to the company and car specifications, LeasePlan will create personalized fuel cards, which will be activated by Bharat Petroleum. The personalized cards, issued with security PIN, will ensure control over possible misuse.
Says Veerle Behets, managing director, Fleet Management India (Pvt) Ltd, “The response of corporates to LeasePlan's fuel management has been phenomenal worldwide. The addition of fuel cards will augment the range of our services in India to provide corporates with innovative and flexible fleet management solutions.“
Apart from delivering the convenience of cashless fuel transactions to the end-users (corporate employees), the corporate fuel card is also free of transaction fees. To make the concept user-friendlier the product has been designed to eliminate companies having to consolidate and track their recurring fuel costs.
LeasePlan will bill the company monthly, and provide statements of vehicle wise fuel consumption, mileage driven and fuelling details. The services will be made available to the corporates at a nominal monthly fee.
