Satyam Venture's India design centre for Collins & Aikman

New Delhi: Satyam Venture Engineering Services Pvt Ltd (SatVen), an automotive engineering services-focused group of Satyam Computer Services (Satyam), today announced the formation of dedicated India design centre (IDC) for the US-based Collins & Aikman (C&A), a multibillion dollar automotive tier-1 supplier.
The IDC will provide complete range of product design, engineering and validation services to C&A. The dedicated IDC will initially start with a team of 20 engineers and is expected to grow to over 100 engineers by next year.
Speaking about the relationship, Kurian Pothen, vice-president (engineering and design) of C&A said: "We have been working with SatVen for the past few months and are extremely impressed by their competencies and their ability to meet our needs. Our initial relationship has now matured into a long-term partnership through IDC, which will bring higher value proposition to both companies. C&A is very keen on expanding its global engineering footprints and in SatVen it has found the right partner."
