A new look

Each one of us wants something new in our interiors. Be it the furniture of the house or its colours. Choosing colours for the rooms can be quite a tedious job. If you want a difference, the same old shades of cream, green and pink may not appeal to your eyes. Instead of plain walls, you might want some patterns playing on the walls, crisscrossing with the theme of your of your interiors. And this is where wallpapers come into play.

We tend to get easily bored of the walls that stare at us each time we enter our house. And so, a new look for the walls can be a very tempting idea. But then very thought of paint! The awful smell…all the mess around the house…and the cost makes you give a second thought to decorating your walls. The best solution for this dilemma is the use of wallpapers instead. Wallpapers give the house a rich and homely look and now they are even stylish and in vogue.

Wallpapers have been out of fashion for a while. But now, with all the emphasis on the look and feel of the house, along with the need for a million options, interior designers have started turning to wallpapers again. So wallpapers are back in fashion and with many more contemporary designs!

Why wallpaper?

Having a flawless, smooth surfaced and neatly constructed wall is a dream for us and for most of us who live in poorly constructed modern buildings; it continues to remain a dream. Wallpapers are designed coverings that can hide the flaws of your walls with design and style. No longer do you have to try and hide the cracks in the wall surface with a painting or a hanging lamp!

Wall coverings are available in great variety of textures and patterns. They are made with materials that make it more durable than paint. Wallpaper with innovative textures like embossed wallpapers give the interiors an ornate look. Wallpapers can make a narrow room look wide, an open space look cosy, high walls look low and low ceilings look less claustrophobic, provided you choose the right design.

Wallpapers are much easier to install and are the process of wallpapering is less time consuming than a paint job. Unlike the process of painting, which is hazardous to asthma patients, pasting wallpapers has no side effects. These days, wallpapers are also coated with plastic which makes it easier to maintain a clean look than with painted plaster walls.
