08 Feb 11.10 AM : Sensex above 10075; SAIL and ITC rally

After touching the 10000 mark in late trades yesterday, the Sensex is continuing its momentum today as well. Most Asian markets are trading flat after the US markets closed higher yesterday. Oil prices have also declined today.

The Sensex opened the day marginally below the 10000 mark and saw a high of 10078. The index is trading higher by 96 points at 10076 at 11.10 AM.

The Nifty opened at 3001 and saw a high of 3023. The index is trading at 3022, higher by 22 points.

SAIL is the best performer among large caps this morning on expectations of a recovery in steel prices. The stock, which has been a significant underperformer over the last few months, is trading more than 4 per cent higher.

Tata Steel is trading more than a per cent higher, having given up part of its early gains.
