13 Feb 11.10 AM: Indices flat on weak Asian cues

After gaining considerably and setting records during the previous week, both Sensex and Nifty are trading with marginal gains in mid-morning trades. Though both indices opened with modest gains, weakness in most Asian markets led to a decline.
Most Asian markets are trading with considerable losses. The Japanese Nikkei has lost nearly 2 per cent while South Korea has declined more than a per cent. Hong Kong and Shanghai indices have both lost close to a per cent.
The Sensex opened with marginal gains at 10117 and saw a new intra-day lifetime high of 10155. The index is trading higher by 11 points at 10122 at 11.10 AM.
The Nifty opened at 3026 and saw an all-time intra-day high of 3034. The index is trading at 3029, higher by 1 point.
MTNL is the biggest gainer among index stocks with gains of nearly 6 per cent. The company had announced the 'One India' uniform tariff plan across the country on Friday.
