Crompton Greaves to have insiders for CEOs of
split businesses
Mumbai: The three companies that are
proposed under the Crompton Greaves demerger plan will promote internal candidates to the
chief executive positionss, K.K. Nohria, chairman and managing director of the company,
has revealed.
At present, the largest group, power
systems, is headed by Ranjan Dasgupta, while C.P. Dusad heads the industrial systems
division, T.K. Mukherjee the consumer products and S.M. Trehan the fast-growing digital
group. Mr Dasgupta, Mr Dusad and Mr Mukherjee are members of the board.
Mr Nohria's statement sets to rest the speculation that
the demerger plan could result in the induction of the three nephews of group chairman
L.M. Thapar -- Karan, Gautam and Vikram Thapar -- as chief executives, a report in The
Economic Times said.

Paul Batchelor CEO of
AMP
Sydney: AMP Ltd, the financial services
company, said its chief financial officer Paul Batchelor will become its new chief
executive officer in three months, replacing George Trumbull. Mr Trumbull will return to
the US.
Mr Batchelor joined the company as life insurer and fund
manager and became its chief financial officer. AMP has global assets A$225 billion under
management, with operations in Australasia and the UK.
