Johri retires as CMD of Nalco
New Delhi: National Aluminium Company chairman-cum-managing director S.N. Johri has retired on 30 July,

He has handed over charge to P.K. Mohanty, additional secretary, mines of the government of India.

Bill Gates to donate $100 billion
London: Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft Corp. and the richest man in the world, will become the biggest single benefactor in   history by donating his 65 billion pound (approx. $100 billion) fortune to help rid the planet of diseases such as AIDS and malaria.

In an interview with Sunday Times, Gates' father, who manages the William H Gates Foundation said in the next three months the foundation will announce a number of newly funded programmes, which would make it the largest private charity on earth. Bill Gates and his wife are dismayed by the amazing levels of poverty they saw during their tour of developing countries and they would hand over the money made from Microsoft to the six-year-old foundation within their lifetimes, leaving their two children with 6.5 million pounds apiece.
